Brittney & Zack’s wedding was moody, modern, and deeply personal at the Line Hotel D.C. — donning the Washington Monument as their backdrop. Their celebration wove together Jewish and Chinese traditions — ketubah signing, breaking the glass, and a lion dance grand entrance where guests gifted red envelopes. A red silk guest book nodded to heritage, while every detail, down to fashion, told their story.
Inspired by Old Shanghai, pops of red anchored the design: ikebana-inspired florals, structural shapes, taper candles at the head table, and pillars of flowers symbolizing the four legs of a chuppah.
Fashion was equally intentional: Brittney collaborated with House of Renhue on a custom gown that later joined their collection, then changed into a Prea James mini dress with a bow for dancing. For the tea ceremony at the welcome party, she wore her mother’s red cheongsam — a piece she wanted to give more time and attention.
A wedding rooted in culture, style, and joy.
