Lindsey and Nick’s two-part engagement session was a true reflection of their playful spirit and deep connection. We started with a vintage-inspired golf shoot to honor one of their favorite shared pastimes. From their coordinated retro outfits (socks and all!) to the rolling greens, this session felt like a creative nod to how they love spending time together.
For part two, we headed to Lindsey’s family property in Virginia, a place filled with years of memories—summer swims, canoe rides, cookouts, and quiet mornings by the lake. From the second she mentioned the location, I couldn’t stop dreaming up ideas: drone shots over lily pads, a romantic canoe ride, and a picnic inspired by Lindsey’s food account (she even baked her own bagels!). Every detail of the session felt intentional and uniquely them.
Just when we thought we might lose the light to rain, the skies cleared and gave us the dreamiest golden hour glow—the kind that feels like it was made just for them. This lakeside engagement shoot in Virginia captured everything I love about storytelling through photography: emotion, personal touches, and a setting that means something real.
