5 Galentines Activity Ideas with Your Best Girlfriends

February 8, 2019

We all know Valentine’s Day is approaching, but honestly, celebrating your best girlfriends is just as important as celebrating your significant other – can I get an amen?! They stick by you through thick and thin and the world would be a lot more lonely without them. So here are five Galentines Day activity ideas you can do with your favorite ladies next week

1)PAINT NIGHT

If you’re looking for a creative night in, grab some canvases and watercolor paper and paint the night away with your besties. Add a bottle of wine (or a few) along with some cheese and crackers to top of the evening!

2) GOING OUT

If you looking for quite the opposite of a night in, go out with your besties! Hit up a club downtown with good music so you can focus on your girls and dance the night away.

3) KARAOKE

Belting out some of your favorite #bosslady songs couldn’t make you feel more empowered and appreciative of your boss babe friends. Add some snacks and refreshments to keep you all energized the entire night!

4) MOVIE NIGHT

It’s a classic…but I had to add it in somewhere! Rewatch some of your favorite movies from classics like “Mean Girls” and “The Devil Wears Prada” to more inspiring ones with strong female characters like Ruth Bader Ginsberg’s “On the Basis of Sex” – one of my favorites from this year! On top of popcorn, make some fondue or s’mores to make your movie watching experience 10x more enjoyable.

5) MINI TRIP WITH YOUR GALS

Just because Galentines in one day…doesn’t mean you don’t have to extend it to be a whole weekend trip! Take a little road trip – even if it’s just a few hours away and rent out an airbnb or cabin! Explore a new town and eat some great food in a new place. Say “no” to your phone more, and “yes” to quality time with the people most important to you.

BEHIND THE LENS

MEET ANGELIKA

I love finding beauty in unconventional places. I always have.

As a young girl, I started playing around with my family's point-and-shoot camera. And I spent much of my free time looking for beauty in unconventional places. What started as a hobby eventually became a career. And 10 years later, my quest remains the same: To capture the beauty within—and around— us all. With warmth, kindness, and a refined, creative eye.
