Abbie and Jonathan met carpooling to a community theater production and hit it off right away. Abbie told me that this was surprising to her since she’s “super introverted so it usually takes her a while to warm up to people. Then again, he’s really outgoing instantly-friends type person, so maybe it’s not a surprise.” They discovered they had similar interests and hobbies, but took it slow before dating, and now 5 years later are getting married.
Abbie shared, “I think we complement each other nicely. Jonathan’s much more traditionally romantic. He’s always bringing home flowers if I had a bad day or planning fancy dinner dates for our anniversary (which I can never remember poor guy). I’m a bit more for the practical problem solving-type. I tend to express my love by adding additional storage to his closet or helping him find the perfect audition song. He makes me more social and outgoing and I help him stay focused and organized.”
It had been raining for 7 days straight before our session, but we still decided to meet up as Abbie and Jonathan were down to shoot in the rain. Rain was pouring as I drove towards our meet-up spot, but right as I started approaching the clouds magically cleared for a rainless session! These two were great in front of the camera, and I’m loving how these turned out.
The collection of photos were a delight to see. Really captured the love that they have for each other. I thought the photos of the ring were elegant and artistic.
