Where to even start?! The first and only time I had met Aliana before this was one year ago at her senior shoot with me. From our initial emails to the end of our session, we hit it off and ended up keeping in touch, sending each other texts here and there throughout the year. After the summer, Aliana headed to UCLA for college and we began joking about how cool it would be if I came to visit her and shoot. In my mind it sounded like a dream, but I didn’t actually think it would happen until we started talking more seriously about it a few months ago. Before I knew it, I was on a plane to see her and visit CA for the first time ever! When I step back and think about it, it really is crazy amazing to think that this came from photography and the desire to create personal friendships with all of my clients. Not to mention having the honor to work with some pretty awesome people, like Aliana, in the first place.
For Aliana’s shoot, we wanted to mix fun and simple vibes. The first part of the shoot we shot with a crazy colorful one-piece, roller blades, and a few other fun props. For the second half, we stuck to more simple backgrounds and outfits. Aliana is such a fantastic model and shooting with her never felt like work for a second.
