I met Katie and Zach at the waterfront in Georgetown, right outside of D.C., and we had the best time dancing and laughing our way through the session. Every time I go through their engagement photos I get the biggest smile on my face. The love these two have for each other is something truly special. Their session was full of dancing and cuddles, and I’m pretty sure everyone walking by was a little jealous. Of course we can’t forget the real star of the show, their adorable pup! The outfits, the ring, the golden hour… seriously couldn’t have asked for a better session!
Katie shared that Zach and her are best friends. “We are actually almost complete opposites in everything and it’s why we work so well as a couple. I am an extroverted planner, and he is a laid back, go with the flow introvert. He calms me down when I get stressed over little things and I help him stay on top of things so he can’t procrastinate. We support each other endlessly no matter what either of us want to do. We make each other laugh everyday and feel at home with one another. Literally since the moment we met, we started growing and changing for the better because of each other. It’s been quite magical.”️
Katie is in her last year of masters school at GMU for counseling and is passionate about helping children and making a difference. Zach is in his last year of his PhD in criminology at GMU and is a data scientist for Deloitte! Together they love walking their dog Ollie, hiking and working out together, having deep conversions about life/societal issues, seeing movies, eating food, and doing game nights.
